Russia is going to arrest foreign assets. The Ministry of Justice has already prepared a bill in response to the recent decision of Belgium and France to arrest Russian property under the lawsuit from former shareholders of Yukos.
The Hague court is seeking compensations worth $50 billion from Russia. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that in this situation Russia would have to respond reciprocally. The countries that permit the arrest of Russian property will thus lose immunity on the territory of the Russian Federation. The bill has not been passed yet - it is still pending in the government.
