In this video, I take a look at the Aryan or Iranian origins of most contemporary Azerbaijanis. Per this analysis, modern day Azerbaijanis are mostly descended from an Iranian farmer derived, followed by an Early Iranian source. What this means is that contemporary Azerbaijanis, from Iran, Azerbaijan, and Turkey, are not Turkic in genetic origins, and are primarily descended from an Iranian source. Proto-Turkic and Anatolian ancestry together only accounts for around 10 to 20% of the modern Azerbaijanis genome, and around 5 to 12% of the Iranian Azerbaijani genome. The autosomal breakdowns featured in this video are from Davidski's G25 Calculator from the Genoplot site. The sources are listed below. Additional sources are available at irantalk95@gmail.com.
