UPDATE: Today the headlines are declaring it is now 6.5 MILLION BOXES that are being recalled. I just read 242,000 cases and didn't realize just how many boxes of macaroni that is. WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR FOOD, AMERICA? This is what happens when we give it over to greedy megacorporations!

Kraft is recalling 6.5 MILLION BOXES of its flagship Macaroni & Cheese product because they might contain not metal shavings but "small pieces of metal."
This is the state of modern food in a country where 96–98 percent of the people rely on the other 2–4 percent for food production and giant megacorporations make everything the majority of the nation's people eat in giant industrial factories.
What kind of world do we live in where people are periodically told their food is laced with metal pieces and they've handed all control and faith and power over the basic nutrition they need to LIVE off to heartless, faceless megacompanies?
