Since our founding in 1920 we have been a community of individuals who come together to educate ourselves, discuss pressing social issues, and explore the spiritual roots of social justice. We strive to open our doors to all people engaged in the struggle for peace and justice. As a congregation we have long been involved in taking a stand on the side of justice, from opposing war and occupation to supporting immigrant rights and worker justice. You'll find our programs thought provoking; educational; and informative. Notable speakers such as Martin Luther King, W. E. B. Du Bois, Sarojini Naidu, Angela Davis, and John Haynes Holmes are only a few who spoke from the "Free Pulpit in Action."
