In this video, I take a look at the genetic origins of contemporary Iranians based on Davidski's G25 Calculator, utilizing the Vahaduo site. Per my analysis, modern Iranians are genetically akin to ancient and Medieval Iranians, and have the majority of their ancestral heritage from an Iran Chalcolithic and Early Iranian or Aryan source. Iranians today have only minimal South Asian, Medieval Turkic, South Asian, Caucasian, and Anatolian ancestry. The Iranians of today seem to show very little Semitic or Arab related ancestry, refuting the claim made by Jason Reza Jorjani that modern Iranians have significant Semitic ancestral heritage. Per my analyis here, it is evident that modern Iranians have a great degree of genetic continuity since the Iron Age. This video also features a West Eurasian PCA from a recent genetic study.
