In this video, I take a look at the genetic impact of the ancient Hellenic invaders on the contemporary Iranian populations, with the notable exception of the Kurds and Azerbaijanis, which will be covered in a future video. Per the latest genetic evidence that is available to us using Davidski's G25 Calculator via the R Software, it is evident that modern Iranians have minimal Ancient Hellenic ancestry not exceeding more than 10% in the majority of Iran's population. The South Asian, Arabian, and Medieval Turkic, alongside side South Asian and Caucasian ancestry, does not exceed more than 10% cumulatively in the majority of Iran's population. Overall, the majority of foreign ancestry found in modern day Iranians comes from an ancient Hellenic source, but does not exceed more than 10%. This video also refutes the claims made by some White Nationalists and Jason Reza Jorjani that modern Iranians are not descended from the ancient Iranians and have significant Turco-Mongol and Arab ancestry. The analysis features PCAs from the latest genetic studies, alongside admixture panels for the ancient Hellenic populations. Overall, there is around 85% genetic continuity among the majority of Iran's population since the Iron Age. The sources are listed below.
