Russia may close airspace for Western airlines

Russia will respond to new Western sanctions, if they follow, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev stated. The head of the Russian government said that Russia could close its airspace for transit flights of Western airlines.

At the same time, Dmitry Medvedev said the situation required subtle work to de-escalate the conflict in Ukraine. The United States and Europe were ready to release a new package of sanctions, when it was said that there were Russian servicemen fighting in Ukraine.
