On the 17th of February, it was exactly one year since the beginning of the strong Ukrainian attack against Donbass defenders, which led to the intervention of the Russian forces a week later. The settlement of Donetsky, in the Lugansk People's Republic, was a frontline village for many years since 2014 and also at that time.
Chief editor Janus Putkonen visited the area in the morning of the 18th, a year ago, to observe the escalation.
