Allan Gotlieb is the North American Deputy Chairman of the Trilateral Commission, he was the Canadian ambassador to the US from 1981 to 1989 and he is also a Rhodes Scholar and Bilderberg attendee.

Gotlieb was instrumental in the signing of the FTA. In this interview he discusses his views on the idea of a North American Union, and the actions that would be necessary in order to produce a change to our current structure. Gotlieb also speaks about the phenomenon of globalization and he mentions that "sovereignty is a 19th century concept" and that human rights take priority over sovereignty. He than states that "if you have incremental damage and it keeps increasing, you can wake up one morning and realize that something has to be done."
