School Board member, Kevin Beiser, made ludicrous charges of being attacked due to his program to implement Sharia law in the schools in San Diego. This is the NBC7 report with my comments inserted. Someone posted his contact information, He reported it to the police and tried to have them investigate it. The San Diego Union Tribune reported that the SDPD declined to investigate. So, Imam Beiser had his own school police investigate and then built it up like its a federal case to the the media. The reporter said someone may be charged, but that's B.S.
No one really attacked or threatened Beiser. They just criticized his promotion of Islam in the schools. This just seems to be a weak attempt by Beiser to use the media to intimidate and silence his critics. It shows that he is worried about the dozens of videos and blog posts having a big impact. The story has gone viral, nationally. We are actually overpowering the local media in this case, who have largely tried to ignore the issue. The national interest in this story disturbs the board members. A large crowd should show up at the next school board meeting (expected to be May 16th) and show strong opposition. The next meeting may be the last chance we have to speak out until next school year.
