Dr. Lively explains that freedom in Christ extends far beyond what is usually discussed in sermons, such as liberation from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2), and even beyond freedom from addictions and other behavioral disorders. Christ also liberates us from obligation to human-created customs, traditions, rituals and other expectations of men. We are free to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in anything that is truly from God, regardless of what anyone else thinks about it. The more your mind is conformed to the Biblical Worldview the easier it is to exercise and enjoy the fullness of freedom.
