Russians still wonder whether US President Barack Obama is going to come for the Winter Olympics in Sochi in February. It has been reported that several Western leaders intend to boycott the most important winter event of the new year. Presidents of France, Estonia, Germany and Poland decided to leave the Sochi Olympics without attention. However, only French President Francois Holland has officially confirmed his intention not to go to Russia for the Games.

Mikhail Leontiev, TV presenter

"I feel sorry for presidents of Germany and Poland, who, solely for political reasons, are forced to demonstrate someone else's position. As for the president of France, and for the president of Estonia, I am convinced that any human community will only benefit from their absence. Even France has not seen the nonentity bigger than the sitting president of France. As for Estonia, this great superpower, I would prefer not to insult anyone with what I have to say on that. This is all ridiculous. It's like you officially take part in something, but send your janitor to express a protest. This all looks so pathetic, this is the world turned upside down."

Well, the Games are made for athletes, rather than for politicians. The latter, trying ti ignore the Olympics, act like children, playing their plastic toys.
