Poroshenko wants to deprive Russia of World Cup 2018

President of Ukraine Petr Poroshenko called to boycott the World Cup, which will be held in 2018 in Russia. The opinion of the Ukrainian leader was published in the German newspaper Bild on March 15. According to him, the Russian troops still have not left the territory of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. According to Poroshenko it is better to ignore sport event in these conditions. Until the end of the conflict in the South-East of the country it is simply "unthinkable."
However President of Ukraine was not the first to make such proposals. Earlier Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov urged to deprive Russia of the right to host the Championship. Konstantin Eliseev - representative of Ukraine to the European Union agrees with him. The idea of ​​lifting the World Cup-18 got support in the Netherlands, and the UK. However, FIFA president Joseph Blatter has no plans to abandon the organization of the event in Russia.
