Russian officials also said that the American side does not show “readiness to continue the dialogue on the matter.
The signals that the USA has been sending lately are really alarming, and the termination of the INF Treaty will have most negative consequences for international security and stability, Russian officials added.
The termination of the agreement may trigger a multilateral arms race in several areas at once, and the arms control system will continue to erode further given the fact that the USA develops new medium-range missile systems.
