Can you imagine an economy that doesn't use money? Topics covered in this video: automation, 3D printing, additive manufacturing, pink farming, self-replicating robots, artificial intelligence, asteroid mining, Jedward, live events, waffles, predictive analytics, big data, transhumanism, cultural transformation, and sex with Matt Bomer.

(This was a one hour unscripted conversation that was edited down to bring you the most interesting parts.)

A couple of my favorite quotes from Gray Scott:

"I understand that people today say time is valuable. It's a silicon valley cliche to say that time is your most valuable asset. But it isn't, really. Curiosity is your most valuable asset. And anyone who tells you otherwise is still working a nine to five job just to get by."

"We will never be able to create technologies and opportunities that do not reflect our human nature, until our human nature changes for the better. This is transhumanism: it's not just about becoming machines, it's not just about becoming cyborgs. It's about becoming better human beings."

We start out talking about how technology can overcome the problem of physical scarcity: the scarcity of physical goods and materials. But then we start to explore other kinds of scarcity: are there kinds of scarcity that we will not be able to overcome? How will we deal with the scarcity of space? Or the scarcity of time? What about the scarcity of access to sex?

Is there anything that we left out of our conversation? What else is stopping us from achieving a completely money-free, trade-free, "value-free" society?
