The Russian Defense Ministry has published a video of the escort of strategic bomber B-52H of the US Air Force. The operation was conducted when the bomber was flying over neutral waters of the Baltic Sea.
The US bomber was detected at a considerable distance from the state border. Two Su-27 fighters were scrambled to identify and escort the aircraft. The fighters returned to the base after the US bomber flew away from the Russian border.
Russian fighter jets regularly fly over the waters of the Baltic Sea to escort foreign military aircraft that try to approach the state border of the Russian Federation.
