Russia field-fires largest self-propelled mortars Tulpan (Tulip)

At "Novaya Lyada" range ground in the Tambov region of Russia, Russian servicemen of an artillery brigade of the Western military district practiced the destruction of command posts and concreted fortifications of a conventional enemy.

During the field-firing exercise, 240-mm self-propelled "Tulip" ("Tulpan") mortars struck targets located at distances from six to thirty kilometers. "Tulip" mortars also fired guided projectiles "Smelchak."

More than 600 servicemen, over 200 units of weapons and military equipment took part in the field firing exercise.
