Hi Sandman, after listening to your video where you show Cristiano Ronaldo's family photo - I fell moved to pose a question for one of your episodes. It certainly was interesting, heartwarming and evocative to see the smiling photo of Cristiano Ronaldo and his smiling, thriving son, together with his less perfectly joyful model girlfriend. Looking closely at the photo - I personally don't think that she looks unhappy, but she doesn't look "all in" quite the way you'd expect if this were her own family. Anyway - this brings a lot of thoughts to mind as I am a single father, though not of surrogate children; both of my sons were born naturally by their mother with whom I share custody, though they have long principally lived with me. As a male single parent I've had a lot of thoughts about this MGTOW phenomenon and if we were to take a poll, very few of the MGTOW out there such as yourself who are generating content are fathers - nearly all are single men without children. While other channels seem to see parenthood, per se, as itself a trap, in contrast you seem to routinely allude to the value that parenthood has or can have to a man, your own sense of desire or purpose to be a parent though you are not one, the legitimacy and value you sense in that, and even a sense of loss at the way society, or women in mass, seem to have dispensed with the notion of parenting as a shared manner of bonding between the two principle dimorphisms of the human species, instead assuming it as a woman's franchise with men demoted to observer and payer status, if they choose to participate at all - while women are freed to sow their wild oats as they please. Parenthood, I think, is something many men who are not parents sense that they are missing out on. As a single father myself, I have noticed among my childless, single friends, that they do seem to suffer a sort of aimlessness that is a constant struggle for them and this seems so regardless of the success they otherwise enjoy. It is something I recognize and recall experiencing myself in my 20s, and so I sympathize with them, but I simply don't experience it anymore. My life is organized around assuring that my children thrive. All the while, by the way: I thrive too. I work out 5-7 days a week. I complete 2-6 college courses on line every year, I work in a challenging and rewarding career where I routinely ask for a demotion rather than be asked to suck at the corporate teet trading personal slavery for a nominal increase in salary, and I can do that because I keep my skills honed and difficult to replace. I have an active social life that includes the parents of my children's friends as well as men and women who are my friends outside parenting. But ... I am a parent first. My life is organized around the well being of my sons: their learning, their challenges, their respite, their nutrition, sleep, health, their exercise and extracurricular activities, ... that they thrive. And let me tell you something Sandman, and all the MGTOW out there: when you, as a man, can present two undeniably thriving children to the world - and especially if you can do this as a single parent, as a single father, the response you get nearly everywhere you go is unadulterated respect.
