“Trudeau! Trudeau! Trudeau!” So chanted the MC at today’s We Day in Ottawa, urging 16,000 youth at the high-profile event to show their support for Canada’s new prime minister after his talk.
In a speech scheduled only at the last minute, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, joined by his wife Sophie, urged the teens to help him “change the world.”
“We Day is about showing you, ‘We’ is powerful, ‘Me’ as part of ‘We’ is powerful, and that together we can and will change the world. … What you do, what you say, matters deeply for the kind of world you want to build. That is how we will change the world,” he said.
