Wages

The majority of businesses who have to pay the minimum wage are not corporations and don't have shareholders. Many countries have no minimum wage and have a higher standard of living.

Show me a good Union today.

If you had to pay people $20 an hour prices would go through the roof and many workers would be laid off or the business would simply shut down. There are jobs that do pay over 20 an hour they also earn more because they require a skill. The minimum wage worker is not professional labor it's minimal easily replaceable labor that kids could do. I started working when I was 9 I got minimum wage too. That's probably what I was worth.

The lady at McDonalds who can't speak proper English and doesn't give a fuck about her job doesn't produce more that what she gives. The shop produces everything her part in it is pushing a button on a machine that has pictures on it. You could train a monkey to do it. They will probably be automated soon. If you started paying $20 the guy at the difficult $20 an hour job will quit and go work at picture pushing. He'll do a better job at it too. The lady excited about her high wages is just gonna get fired.

The price of a hamburger is gonna go up too and the lady who got fired won't be able to buy one.

More unemployment and higher prices.
