Leading White Nationalists Support Donald Trump

Correct The Record

Published on Aug 24, 2016

For more than a year, Donald Trump has flirted with white nationalism, peddled bigoted conspiracy theories and repeatedly insulted communities of color. Just last week, Trump further embraced poisonous bigoted rhetoric by hiring Steve Bannon, the executive chairman of the news site Breitbart—which has peddled anti-Semitism and white nationalism—as his campaign CEO.

Don’t believe us? Just ask some of America’s leading white nationalists.

Former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan David Duke was “overjoyed to see Donald Trump and most Americans embrace most of the issues that I’ve championed for years.” William Johnson, chairman of the white nationalist American Freedom Party, praised Donald Trump for making white nationalism popular. And Jared Taylor, founder of the white supremacist publication American Renaissance, called Trump “the spokesman for white people.”

White nationalists are sending a clear message: they want Donald Trump in the White House.
