Authorities reported that one person was killed and at least three people were injured in a shooting at a racing track in West Salem, Ohio.
The shooting, according to Wayne County Sheriff's Office Capt. Doug Hunter, began in the parking area of the privately owned Dragway 42, roughly 50 miles southwest of Cleveland.
Authorities began getting 911 calls reporting many individuals shot.
Deputies discovered two persons who had been shot. Both were taken to the hospital, and one of them died. Two additional shooting victims, according to Hunter, drove themselves to hospitals.
According to Hunter, the suspect was a "intoxicated person who was driving a pickup vehicle recklessly."
His truck kicked up gravel in the parking lot, resulting in a brawl. Officials say the suspect then got out a gun and started firing.
When members of his family were shot, a citizen with a conceal-carry license fired back, according to the sheriff's office. That person was interrogated by deputies, but he was not charged.
Authorities are still trying to identify and locate the shooter.
