City Attorney Jonathan Young (jonathan.young@cityofvancouver.us) has criminally charged Kelly Carroll for defying the unconstitutional Inslee lockdown order. Kelly had no money and no help from the government so she opened her dog grooming business with NO HUMAN TO HUMAN CONTACT. While multi-billion dollar companies like Pet Smart get to stay open, small business owners like Kelly Carroll apparently will be thrown in jail for grooming animals (expect more lockdowns in the future).

We decided to petition to the city attorney to redress our grievances, a right guaranteed by the US Constitution in the 1st amendment:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of RELIGION, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the FREEDOM of SPEECH, or of the press; or the right of the people PEACEABLY TO ASSEMBLE, and to PETITION THE GOVERNMENT FOR A REDRESS OF GRIEVANCES."
The right to petition the government for redress of grievances is the right to make a complaint to one's government, WITHOUT FEAR OF PUNISHMENT OR REPRISALS.
We went to the Vancouver City Hall 3 times

They eventually told us that the prosecuting attorney on Kelly's case is working from his home office. All of these politicians and lawyers destroying our constitution are hiding behind closed doors under the guise of covid-19. Since his office is at home (paid for by us) we peacefully and legally in front of his home office exercised our 1st amendment right on a public street. We worshiped & prayed (freedom of religion), gave positive speeches (freedom of speech), peacefully gathered on a public street ( right to peaceably assemble), and petitioned for them to drop the charges on Kelly Carroll (The right to petition the government for redress of grievances). In response Jonathan Young called the police several times claiming that we were committing felonies for trying to convince him to drop the charges. He deceptively claimed we were intimidating and threatening him and he wanted the police to arrest us.
Law enforcement clearly showed they disagreed with Jonathan Young in the leaked police report. Here are a few statements made by VPD in the report:
"Det. Romiti and I have both been physically present during the events described above, as well as monitoring the live feeds.
At no time have I heard anyone in the group, to include the organizers, threaten Attorneys McClure, Young,
or Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle with any use of force."
"During all these events, organizers Kelli Stewart and Joey Gibson both reminded individuals attending to not commit any
crimes, do not trespass, do not threaten or intimidate, do not violate the VMC noise ordinance and to make sure they clean up
after themselves when they leave an area."
"At this time, I find there is no probable cause for intimidating a public servant.
Per request of Jonathon Young this report will be forwarded to Clark County PA for review."

So not only does Jonathon Young want to throw a grandma in jail for working (while they release real criminals), he now wants people arrested for peacefully and legally speaking out against him on a public street. Jonathan either does not know the law or he believes he is above the law. The right to petition the government for redress of grievances is the right to make a complaint to one's government, WITHOUT FEAR OF PUNISHMENT OR REPRISALS.
A right not exercised is a right lost. We will exercise our constitutional right to the first amendment in front of his home office for Kelly Carroll. These politicians have to be held responsible for their actions, the community can no longer be complacent.
We will follow all laws, remain positive, and we will not threaten or intimidate ANY CITIZEN OR PUBLIC SERVANT. But even more importantly WE WILL NOT BE INTIMIDATED BY OUR GOVERNMENT!
