DAILYKENN.com --Free speech is the bedrock of Western values and it is under attack by the far-left hate media.

How they do it? Simple.
OK to enable hate against those who disagree with the far left?

They associate free speech with evil. Then, by destroying free speech, we image we are destroying evil. A common tactic is to exploit tragedies by associating them with free speech.

It's a false equivalence. Nonetheless, the persist.

Example 1: They convince gullible people that the MAGA cap is a symbol of racism. That hatred of racism enables the far left to equivocate those wearing the caps as hateful racists (even when worn by blacks!) The left then acts out its hatred for racism by bullying MAGA cappers.

Example 2: They say Gab.ai was an enabler of the synagogue shooter and must be destroyed. It is the same tactic leftists claim was used in Hitler's Germany to destroy free speech. It's the same tactic used by Joseph Stalin, Mao Tse-tung and Pol Pot to silence opposition.

Consider the following article with two aspects in mind:

First, how does the author convince readers to hate free speech by associating the synagogue shooter with gab.ai?

Second, how does the author enable hatred and potential violence against users of gab.ai?

Early Saturday, moments before the police say he barged into a Pittsburgh synagogue and opened fire, Robert Bowers’s anti-Semitic rage finally boiled over as he posted one last message online.

But he did not turn to Facebook or Twitter. Instead, the man accused of killing 11 people went to Gab, a two-year-old social network that bills itself as a “free speech” alternative to those platforms, and that has become a haven for white nationalists, neo-Nazis and other extremists. There, he posted a signoff to his followers.

“I can’t sit by and watch my people get slaughtered,” Mr. Bowers wrote. “Screw your optics, I’m going in.”

The shooting in Pittsburgh came on the heels of another violent episode involving social media extremism. Cesar Sayoc Jr., the suspect in the pipe bomb mailing campaign, had a history of posting hateful and violent messages on Facebook and Twitter that were laced with misinformation and conspiracy theories.
