Al-Qaeda Terrorist Leader Qassim al-Rimi Has Been Taken Out By A US Drone Strike In Yemen

The terrorist who claimed responsibility for last December’s Naval Air Station Pensacola deadly shooting, has been killed by a US drone strike.

On Thursday, Donald Trump confirmed that the terrorist leader Qassim al-Rimi has been killed by a U.S. counter-terrorism operation in the Arabian Peninsula nation of Yemen.
Qassim al-Rimi, was an al-Qaeda leader who was considered one of the organizations most dangerous men for attempts to carry out acts of terror inside the United States. We as a nation are now safer as a result of his death.
“Under Rimi, AQAP committed unconscionable violence against civilians in Yemen and sought to conduct and inspire numerous attacks against the United States and our forces. His death further degrades AQAP and the global al-Qa’ida movement, and it brings us closer to eliminating the threats these groups pose to our national security.”

The drone strike aimed at Raymi is the most recent operation in the beheading of global terrorist organizations. Qasim has been thought to be a possible future head of the al Qaeda
Al-Raymi is/was a young leader at only 41 years old. He trained other terrorists in Afghanistan al-Qaida training camps as far back as the 1990's before he returned to Yemen and ultimately became The Commander of Al-Qaida Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
The United States recently raised the bounty on his head to $10 million in 2018, from $5 million in 2014.
