Yemen's Houthis have joined Iran in blocking a major waterway for oil transportation. The closure of the Bab Al-Mandab Strait will worsen the oil crisis, economic analyst Chris Martenson told Rick Sanchez.
Martenson argues that the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait will lead to a global economic catastrophe if it lasts for weeks.
The Bab Al-Mandeb Strait links the Indian Ocean to the Persian Gulf, and the nations along it provide a significant share of oil and fertilizer to world markets.
