Is the technological singularity coming, or has it already begun? Topics in this video: artificial intelligence, incremental change, technophilosophy, the Saturn hexagon, the definition of "technology", symbolic mouth-noises, the divergence of culture, elitism, art, philosophy, and using technology to better humanity.

(This was a one hour unscripted conversation that was edited down to bring you the most interesting parts.)

Make sure you also check out the "extra scenes" that didn't make it into this video, where we talk about Google Deep Dream, LSD and hallucinations:

The best moment of this video, in my opinion, starts at 13:19, with Gray Scott saying: "There are different levels of thinking on this planet right now, and it's going to get worse. The way to solve that is what you and I are doing right now. The best way to do that is for everyone who is interested in education or moving our species forward to put content out there."

He goes on with a very inspirational message about the way we need to embrace technology for the betterment of humanity.

So what do you think? Has technology been progressing since the beginning of time? Has technology already
