Let me remind you that some time ago, the Ukrainian media disseminated information according to which the pilot of the Ukrainian Air Force, nicknamed the “Ghost of Kyiv”, with a MiG-29 shot down several modern Russian fighter jets. According to American military experts of the edition ''Military Watch'', this story is more like a fake than a reality. The Ukrainian Air Force really uses MiG-29 fighter jets, but this is the only thing that can connect with reality the myth of the ace, nicknamed the "Ghost of Kyiv", which Western analysts have called an urban legend. American experts of the edition ''Military Watch'' declared that ''the MiG-29 fighters of the Ukrainian Air Force are used mainly for training purposes, their main fighter jets are the Su-27. Ukrainian MiG-29 fighters were inherited from the Soviet Union and have hardly been modernized since then. It is impossible to believe that such fighter jets could prevail in battles with more modern and productive Russian fighters''. According to experts, ''the main factor discrediting this story is that the MiG-29 fighters operated by Ukraine are obsolete versions of the MiG-29A equipped with sensors and weapons that are considered obsolete''. Another fact that casts doubt on the existence of ''Ghost of Kyiv'' is the situation with the training of Ukrainian pilots. The fact is that Ukrainian pilots have very little flying practice and therefore it is quite difficult to believe that they could win in air battles with Russian fighter jets. Experts are similar in view that myths like the “Ghost of Kyiv” are common in wartime in countries suffering heavy losses and other material difficulties. Potentially, such fakes should rally the population and convince the pilots that they have a chance to win if they face the enemy in the air. And these shots where the allegedly Ukrainian MiG-29 destroys the Russian Su-35 were taken from the famous video game ''Digital Combat Simulator World''. My dear friends, in the end, I want to tell you not to be naive. Don't believe everything you see and hear in the media. Today in the 21st century it is very easy to check any information, do not be lazy, seek the truth, and you will find it.
