Iran's been mocked for making drones from scrap metal, but somehow, they have managed to defeat multimillion-dollar defense systems. Iran's drones have even been used by the Russian military, who found it far easier to manufacture their UAVs than their own. Is this why they have been successful in this latest war?
According to Ted Postol, professor emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), these cheaply made drones may not be perfect, but they are good enough for their intended purpose.
