From the beginning of the 18th century (1717), originated in the Turkish wars and the conquest of Belgrade in 1717 by soldiers commanded by Franz Eugen, Prince of Savoy. Written by an unknown soldier after the battle on a then known melody - also under the title "Prince Eugenius".
