Lars Enarson begins by stating that socialism is incompatible with the Christian message since socialism is an atheistic ideology.
He goes on to explain that the concept of "left" comes from the French parliament after the Revolution where the socialists, referencing the Bible, seated themselves on the left of the chamber. They did this to insult the church and Jesus' words in the Sermon on the Mount.
Despite this, the Swedish church has linked up with the left and promotes the left-wing agenda, for example in the cause of unaccompanied minors from Afghanistan.
We discuss those Afghan migrants who, during their time in Sweden, have converted to the Christian faith. According to Lars Enarson, they can be exposed to a considerable risk if they are sent home because the Koran condemns converts to death.
Many churches and individuals, including the Church of Sweden's Archbishop Antje Jackelén, agree that all Afghans converting to Christian faith during their time in Sweden must be granted a residence in Sweden.
The Archbishop has previously stated that she sees Muhammad as a prophet and is generally positive to Islam. Her reasoning is strangely absurd when, whilst supporting Islam, she asserts that converts cannot return to a Muslim country .
We discuss the problems of conversion from Islam and what happens when people from Afghanistan, for example, seek, and gain acceptance by, a Swedish Christian congregation. A basic problem is that the prize of Swedish residence linked to conversion is a very attractive personal benefit. According to Lars, this means that it becomes necessary to verify that the conversion to the Christian faith is genuine. This is not straightforward and Enarson believes that many congregations are naive on this issue.
But life in Sweden as a convert from Islam is also associated with risks and threats from Muslims. He tells about a person living in Sweden who converted from Islam and was forced out of his job as a bus driver after pressure from Muslim colleagues.
He also believes that the Swedish authorities have been influenced by Islam. A Christian person from the Middle East seeking asylum in Sweden may well be dealt with by a Muslim on the Migration Board who discriminates against Christians.
We also discuss Professor Arnstberg's claim that Islam is a stronger culture than the Swedish one. Lars Enarson agrees with this in the sense that the Islamic attitude is uncompromising whilst the Swedish approach is flexible and generous.
The result is that Islam wins terrain. He refers to an Islamist who in a conversation stated that they will take over, and that the West is like butter while Islam is like a knife.
Another issue we discuss is what happens if an Afghan single man participates in church youth activities together with Swedish girls and boys.
Many migrants have falsely declared their age and may be considerably older than other young people in a group activity. In addition, many migrants have a problematic background and have been subjected to sexual abuse. Unless youth and congregation leaders are aware of, and realistic about, these issues, it can lead to personal disaster for group members. If, for example, a congregation's youth group decides to go camping, it may be necessary to inform all parents in advance about how to handle these issues.
(This problem is also present in youth sport. In addition to problems in group activities and when camping, young people may need to interact with considerably older people in, for example, a wrestling match.)
