This is happening all over the country right now, proving that our public schools have hit an all-time new low on the pathetic douchebaggery scale here in America. When a student can't afford to pay for the government subsidized tripe our education facilities pass off to our kids as food, or they are even short a few measly cents, they have to stand there hungry and watch in humiliation as the school employees throw the food in the garbage!
So apparently it is better to throw food in the trash than it does to bill the parents later and feed the hungry students the food that was just going to be thrown in the trash anyway so they can focus on the whole reason they are there in the first place?
And the administrators who came up with this brilliant plan are in charge of the buildings we send our children to for an education in this country???
...makes sense. Good thing these schools aren't taxpayer funded. We're right on track to building a wonderful society, aren't we?
