Among the more draconian measures introduced under the Coronavirus Act 2020 umbrella has been quarantining travellers arriving in the UK — citizens returning home as well as visitors.

On tonight’s Pandemic Podcast we’ll meet barrister Francis Hoar who is currently acting for a solicitor and his family who — without notice — found themselves trapped in their flat for 14 days after returning from holiday and are seeking a judicial review of the enforcing legislation.

We will also explore the relationship between the Coronavirus Act, the Civil Contingencies Act 2002, and the Public Health (Control of Diseases) Act 1984 which together have been used
to strip us of so many of our basic human rights over the past year.

Join us at 17:00 as part of our Coronavirus Act series for this important discussion which takes place on the eve of worldwide protests aimed at challenging global coronavirus policy.
