It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Moscow!🎄 Perhaps the most festive place to go is the GUM Christmas market and ice skating rink, right in the heart of the Red Square ❤️⛸️ I always celebrate Christmas with my family in December, but in Russia the real celebration happens on New Years! 🥂 Many Russians also celebrate Eastern Orthodox Christmas on January 7th. But in order to find out more about how they celebrate, I decided to go and ask them myself! I got lots of merry responses, from what traditions do Russians have to what presents they would like from Grandfather Frost and his Snow Maiden! 🎅🏻🎁 That’s right, Russians don’t have Santa Claus! This time of the year is filled with joy, and I hope to transmit that to you in this video. Even with the cold and snow in Moscow, people feel warm and happy on the inside! Or maybe that’s because of the mulled wine…🍷 Anyways, don’t forget to drink some champagne and make a wish on New Years! 🥂✨
