At the recent Oscars, a Korean film won the prize for best film "just because..." Affirmative Right contributor and film director Richard Wolstencroft comments on the "woke" tendency to give awards to women and non-Whites as a kind of virtue signalling. But does treating individuals from these groups as "special needs" in this way help to elevate them? Isn't the effect the exact opposite?
