This is old news, but I believe is helpful in revealing the attitudes of the Sharia-compliant Assistant DA of hate crimes in San Diego, Oscar Garcia. Garcia is prosecuting three men right now for another fake felony hate crime.
In 2012, when Shaima Alwadi was brutally beaten to death with a tire iron and a hate note was found near the body it became international news. Here our Deputy DA for Hate Crimes and a CAIR representative are clearly licking their chops at the prospect of having such a high profile hate crime, even before the investigation is finished. To their great disappointment, it turned out to be a fake hate crime and honor killing, triggered when Shaima filed for divorce from her much older husband. She had been married to Kassim Alhimidi in an arranged marriage as a child bride in Iraq.
