President George Washington was the first president to transfer power peacefully to the next honoring the US Democratic Tradition. The only failed example is when President Donald J. Trump lost Election 2020 and, even after he knew he lost, chose to act like America's Biggest Baby and be a poor sport deciding NOT to shake hands with President Elect-Biden and transfer power. He embarrassed himself and left a stain on the USA which is still dealing with his tantrums.
