سم الله الرحمن الرحيم
اعْلمْ رَحِمَكَ اللهُ أَنَّهُ يَجِبُ عَلَيْنَا تَعَلُّمُ أَرْبَع مَسَائِلَ:
اَلْمَسْألَةُ الأُولَى: الْعِلْمُ: وَهُوَ مَعْرِفَةُ اللهِ،
وَمَعْرِفَةُ نَبِيِّهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ -،
وَمَعْرِفَةُ دِينِ الإِسْلامِ بالأَدِلَّةِ.

*Definition of wajib

*Disfference between Wajib and Fard
-Opinion of the marjoity (Shafeey, Malik, Ahmad in one narration)
-Opinion of Abu Hanifah and Ahmad in another narration.
-Proofs for each opinion and selected opinion
-Fruit/result of this dispute

*Did the author mean wajib according to the Hanify school of thought or that of the majority of the scholars?

*Knowledge in dealings with Allah are 3 types:
Belief, actions and prohibitions.
علمُ معاملةِ العبدِ لربِّه - المعاملةُ التي كُلِّفَهَا (العبدُ) على ثلاثةِ أقسامٍ: اعتقادٌ, وفعلٌ, وتركٌ.
-Knowledge pertaining to that is of two types:
1. Fardh 'Ayn -personal obligations
2. Fardh Kifaya -Communal Responsibilities
-Definition, differences between those two as well as examples.

*Definition of "matters" أَرْبَع مَسَائِلَ

*1st of the first set of matters is knowledge.
-authors special definition of knowledge
اَلْمَسْألَةُ الأُولَى: الْعِلْمُ: وَهُوَ مَعْرِفَةُ اللهِ، وَمَعْرِفَةُ نَبِيِّه - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ -، وَمَعْرِفَةُ دِينِ الإِسْلامِ بالأَدِلَّةِ
-Authors definition of knowledge is knowledge in Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, and the deen.
-Those three matters are the three fundamental principles of Islam that will be repeated later by the author as the core matter in the booklet.
-They are only mentioned here as a definition to Knowledge.

*Knowledge of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم

*Knowledge in Islam

***Next week is last word of that statement which is to have knowledge in those matters with "proof"" and then the 2nd of the four matters which is to act upon your knowledge -inshallah-.
