6/28/21: Virginia High School League (VHSL) Demands LCPS Adopt Policy 8040 or No Sports. That's right, VHSL's (high school sports in VA) transgendered policies SUPERSEDES LCPS Policy 8040 regarding trans students. VHSL has been working on their trans policy since 2014. Simply put, LCPS must adopt VHSL's transgendered student policy or there will be NO high school sports for LCPS students under VHSL.

PACT has been a harsh critic of Beth Barts, and we will continue to do so, however, Barts does a very good job drawing out the truth from outside legal council, Stacy Haney. I'm not suggesting that LCPS is off the hook entirely, however, it would be prudent (in my opinion) if a lawyer reviewed the VHSL trans policy beside LCPS Policy 8040 to see were they align and to see what LCPS is adding that would be considered above and beyond what VHSL requires.
