Maurice De Wilde (°1923-11-25 +1998-09-22) earned a lot of respect due to his enormous research concerning the collaboration in Belgium during World War 2. He interviewed those directly involved and never stopped until the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth was revealed. He was rewarded the nickname "the pitbull of flemish television" : famous and legendary is his interview with Léon Degrelle (leader of the SS Wallonie), who lived in Spain to escape prosecution. Not only did he make documentaries about the collaboration, but also the resistance was meticulously researched : Maurice revealed their wrongdoings. His dossiers were meticulously prepared, never has he been caught on a mistake. Maurice is the most acclaimed journalist - ever ! - in Belgium. His much discussed reports earned him the respect of the academia : he received, amongst others, a honorary doctorate of the University of Brussels. Maurice, thank You for your magnificent Works of Art.
