‘Borking’ is a term that entered the modern lexicon after Judge Robert Bork was attacked by liberals during his Supreme Court nomination hearings. Borking now means to “viciously attack a presidential nominee, blackening his name in an all-out effort to defeat his confirmation by the senate.”
