Putin's silence is more eloquent, than McCain's words

Will Putin somehow respond to McCain's column on "Pravda.ru"? It seems that he is not going to.

Republican senator John McCain in his address to people of Russian Federation said that they deserve someone better than Putin. His thoughts were expressed in the column published in the internet-newspaper "Pravda.ru". Right away McCain disproved information that he is against Russia and showed his respect to its people
But the one he doesn't respect is Vladimir Putin.

McCain thinks that Putin and his colleagues don't respect dignity of the citizens, rig elections and do much more unacceptable things.

He also remembered the death of Sergey Magnitsky case. In his opinion, the Hermitage Capital accountant revealed one of the largest thefts carried out by the government, and that information lead to his death in jail. In addition McCain mentioned the Pussy Riot punk-band case and wrote, that the international positions of Russia are weakened because of Putin.

McCain's column is a response to Putin's letter published in New-York Times. Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman of the Russian president, said that the head of the State haven't read the column yet, but he will hardly respond to it. Is this the right decision?
