The ROA, aka Vlasov Army, was a regiment of anti-Bolshevik Russians, mostly White Army veterans under command of former Red Army member General Andrey Vlasov, who swore allegiance tho the Committee for the Liberation of the Peoples of Russia, a white, German-sponsored Government in Exile of the White Russians, who aimed to:
"1- Overthrow Stalin's tyranny, liberate the peoples of Russia from the Bolshevik system, and to reconstitute those rights to the peoples of Russia which they fought for and won in the people's revolution of 1917
2 - Discontinue the war and sign an honorable peace with Germany
3 - Create a new free people's political system without Bolsheviks and Exploiters"
The ROA was notable for their deeds against the Reds in the East, and fought until they were captured by the Red Army in Prague, 1945, in the very last breath of the Axis, fighting bravely to the bitter end.
