President Donald Trump may sack the Director of the US National Intelligence Daniel Coats.

Trump has never considered Coats either a part of his team or an advisor whom he could trust. Recently, however, Dan Coats has made a number of statements regarding Washington's course in foreign policy, which the Trump administration found disappointing.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Trump does not accept Coats' stance on the nuclear disarmament of North Korea. Reportedly, Trump became infuriated after Dan Coats' speech in the Senate, when the head of the national intelligence stated that Pyongyang was not observing the conditions of the agreements concluded with the United States.

Trump may not dismiss Coats in the next few days, but it may happen some time later. According to the publication, Trump may hold a grudge against some of his employees, but he may not necessarily want to fire them from their jobs just because he wants to.
